Robert and Charlotte Hullinger, from Cincinnati, OH, formed Parents of Murdered Children after their 19 year old Daughter Lisa was brutally attacked by her ex boyfriend and died from her injuries on September 25th, 1978 in Hamburg, Germany while there on a work study program.
20 years later Gloria Gomez was murdered the same way….by the same guy.
In 2007, Congress designated September 25 as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. The purpose of this event is to focus on the impact of murder on families, and communities, and ways to support and serve survivors.
Today we’d like to honor the memories of Lisa and Gloria.
If you are going through the horrific and traumatic experience of losing a child to murder and need resources, you can go to https://pomc.org/resources-2/
or

They provide the on-going emotional support needed to help parents and other survivors facilitate the reconstruction of a “new life” and to promote a healthy resolution. Not only does POMC help survivors deal with their acute grief but also helps with the criminal justice system.
