This hometown case was sent in to us by our long time listener and friend of the podcast, Jessica. Many of those involved at the time were minors and because of this, it was not highly publicized. This episode contains Explicit Content.
Jessica grew up in Milwaukee, WI and in the summer of 2000 began seeing Missing Person flyers of her classmate 15-year-old Angela Velzka-Lawrence. This was before social media so sadly, even though they were living in the same neighborhood, this is how she realized she was gone. Angela's mother unknowingly knocked at the house of her daughter's murderer, and asked if they had seen her. The mother answered the door and replied straight to her face that she hadn't seen her...although she knew every detail of her death and even where she was buried. This secret was kept for about a year by 13 people.
